Gichi-ziibi means "Great River" or Mississippi in Ojibwe. When you visit our center for the arts, you will see what a fitting name that is—from the beautiful lobby to the interior finishing—the river is reflected in many of the design elements. The beautiful new Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts is adjacent to Brainerd High School and is host to many community events. Sign up now for your opportunity for a behind-the-scenes tour of this facility. Tour guests must pre-register.
