Future Problem Solvers: "Teaching How to Think, Not What to Think"

Youth / Enrichment -
Fall 2022

Students have the opportunity to develop innovative solutions to real world challenges. Students will research challenges, and use their creative thinking skills to formulate solutions to solve problems related to the future scene in the framework of a 6-step process. Students will take their best solution and develop it into an action plan and present it as a team skit. The topics for this year are "Digital Realities" for the practice problem, "Robotic Workforce" for the regional competition and "Throw Away Society" for the state competition.

Regional competition will take place virtually on February 2nd or 3rd, with state competition taking place virtually on March 24th or 25th. There will also be an on-site presentation on April 1st in St Cloud, MN. Students must provide their own transportation. Students are not required to participate in the regional/state competitions, but are encouraged to do so.

This is a great opportunity to work on a team, learning about new challenges and using creativity and problem solving skills to address the future challenges we all face.
