    Football - Camps Grades 4-8

    Gr 6-8 Big Man Football Camp: For players entering grades 6-8 aspiring to be offensive and defensive linemen. Players will be instructed by grade level on the skills and techniques that go with becoming a successful football player in the Warrior football program. This camp is meant to be instructional, fun and competitive. Players will play 7 on 7 each night, as well as other lineman competitions. Participants will get a special t-shirt just for this camp. Gr 6-8 Football Positional Skills Camp: This camp is for players aspiring to play quarterback, wide receiver, running back or a skilled position on the defensive side of football. Players will be instructed by grade level on the skills and techniques that go with becoming a successful football player in the Warrior football program. This camp is meant to be instructional, fun and competitive. Players will play 7 on 7 each night, as well as other competitions. Participants will get a special t-shirt for this camp. Gr 6-8 Football Camp: The focus of this camp is to give middle school football players a jumpstart on their middle school season. Participants will be broken up by grade level to begin learning the basic offensive and defensive schemes, as well as have opportunities to compete and use what they learned at the Big Man and positional Skills Camp. The remainder of the camp will be dedicated towards fun, competitive drills centered around football and learning the game. Students are encouraged to bring cleats, t-shirt and shorts. Participants will receive a t-shirt at the end of camp. Gr 4-5 Football Camp: Have fun learning the basics of Warrior football through fundamentals, drills and other football related activities. The camp will be led by varsity players and coaches from the middle and high school level. All campers will receive a Warrior football t-shirt.     Parks and Rec Fall Soccer Ages 4-10

    Fall soccer is designed for boys and girls to learn fundamentals, sportsmanship and have fun playing the team sport of soccer. Players meet one week night and Saturday mornings for games and practices at Southdale Soccer Fields in Baxter. Ages 4-5 and 6-7 parents can select Monday or Thursday practice nights. Ages 8-10 practice option is Thursday night only - in addition to Saturday. This age level may travel to Nisswa for some games. A parent/player meeting will be held Thursday, September 8th at Southdale Soccer Fields. Parents of new players will meet at 5:15pm, parents of returning players will meet from 6-7pm. It is very important to attend this first meeting to receive your schedule and team assignment. We rely on parent coaches. To ensure a successful season for our players, please consider coaching. Register BY September 5th and save $10 (discount will appear upon checkout). Late registrants will be accepted on a space available basis. Meeting times listed are simply estimates and are subject to change.

    Parks and Rec Fall Soccer Grades 5-6

    Fall soccer is designed for boys and girls to learn fundamentals, sportsmanship and have fun playing the team sport of soccer. Practices start Wednesday, September 7th, 3:15PM, on the 5th/6th grade soccer field. Teams will practice two days a week until 5:00 pm, either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. There will be no practices on Fridays. Players are asked to attend at least two practices a week but are encouraged to attend all four days for more training. Most games will be played on Saturday mornings (there may be an occasional week night game.) Some travel to local communities may be involved. Parents are responsible for transportation to out-of-town games. Season will end with an end-of season tournament on Saturday, October 8th. Parent meeting will be on Wednesday, September 7th from 5-5:30pm at the 5th/6th grade field after practice. Rosters/schedules will be sent out via email. Team shirts will be given out at practice.     Parks and Rec Flag Football Grades 2-3

    Flag football meets twice a week for a fun-filled game of non-tackling football for both boys and girls. Meets 5:45 - 7:00pm. After the first practice on Sept 12th we will have a short parent meeting. No equipment required; wear tennis shoes and dress for the weather. Register BEFORE Sept 9, space is limited.
